Same thing goes for Twilight and paranormal romance even though as you wrote, the character is his/her own.

I have been thinking about buying this book for a while. I really liked Ann Aguirre's short story in Corsets & Clockwork. It's good to know that Enclave was a satisfying read and that Deuce was a strong female protagonist. Those books are always the best :). And I agree about the social commentary books.

Also, I really like the sound of Deuce and Fade and their dynamics. You have me wondering about this bizarre ending.... cliffhangers are no fun :(.Christina Reads YAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14937783114868207494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1961623852791581204.post-68899128019683513212011-06-27T17:18:24.860-04:002011-06-27T17:18:24.860-04:00I've been wanting to read this book since it c...I've been wanting to read this book since it cam out. Deuce sounds like a pretty kick-butt heroine and I love when novels have a strong female lead.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16539839965528274907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1961623852791581204.post-6052670732432163532011-06-27T17:02:36.178-04:002011-06-27T17:02:36.178-04:00I'm excited to get to this one but if it ends ...I'm excited to get to this one but if it ends on a cliffhanger, I'll probably wait at least until I can get the second right away.Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05738740015526095835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1961623852791581204.post-8073519874720207902011-06-27T14:51:18.625-04:002011-06-27T14:51:18.625-04:00I almost bought this book at Chapters two weeks ag...I almost bought this book at Chapters two weeks ago but I held back in order to save up my money....I'm still dying to read it though! Aguirre definitely gives the reader some "food for thought." I thought Deuce was awesome and so real. I wish the sequel was coming out sooner!JessiMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05620317510135783572noreply@blogger.com
