"Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly event courtesy of Breaking the Spine
that showcases much anticipated upcoming releases.
Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?Although this one looks short - and I admit to most of the time preferring longer novels so I can really sink my brain into them - it looks like it's going to be fun and hopeful and very much worth the read. I really, really do love a good contemporary that's able to put me into the spot and wish and cross my fingers along with the characters!
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18B. Hadley's in 18A. <br />
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

This one sounds pretty exciting. I love the font of the title... yeah, I'm weird like that :P
Stop by mine
I don't typically like shorter books either; I hate leaving the characters at the end so shorter books are hard for me to get attached. But this one does look good...
OMG I AM TOTALLY DYING FOR THIS BOOK. seriously, it has an ENGLISH guy named OLIVER eeeek.
i am embarassed by how shallow i sound, but 'tis just how it is :P
and i'm sorta surprised you like longer books. given the HUGE pile of books i have to get through, i prefer shorties. (shorties, i know, right? :P) i mean, some books are better off as long, like THE BOOK THIEF by Markus Zusak, but for the most part--shortness FTW!
Glad you enjoyed this one. I'm curious about it now, the cover is lovely.
I'm not sure which I prefer, short or longer books...now you have my thinking.
This really does look like a cute read! I've heard that its being compared to Anna and the French Kiss, which is just amazing and makes me want to read it even more. I'm a sucker for guys with English accents =)

Ha! With all the talk of how annoying love at first sight is in YA books this one looks really good. I have it on my TBR list.
Im looking forward to this book- it will be a break from my morn as far as reading and sometimes we all need that
It does sound like a look of fun, great pick!
